2008 XTC AWARDS & PRIZING

XTC Prizes are different at each venue. Please note, prizes are dependent on community/local sponsorship for each venue. Each venue will have a lot of great draw prizes to allow everyone who participates in the race the opportunity to win something, not just our top athletes.

Awards are the same at each event. See breakdown below for who will receive awards.

PRIZING: XTC Campbell River * XTC Vancouver

XTC Campbell River

The following is the awards & prize breakdown for the XTC Campbell River Race. You will receive series points at this race.:

Full Distance Triathlon - Prize Purse for top 3 males & females - $450

1. 1st place male & female overall - $100
2. 2nd place male & female overall - $75
3. 3rd place male & female overall - $50
4. Age group - Award to top male & female in each age group. Prizing to top 3 male & female in each age group where there are five or more people in the age group for male and female. In the case where there less than 5 people in the age group then it will go to the top male & female in that age group.

Full Distance Duathlon

1. 1st place male & female overall - award & prize (prizing will go 3 deep if more than 10 people register in this race)

Half Distance Triathlon

1. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place male & female overall - award & prize
2. Age group - Award to top male & female in each age group. Prizing to top 3 male & female in each age group where there are five or more people in the age group for male and female. In the case where there less than 5 people in the age group then it will go to the top male & female in that age group.

Half Distance Duathlon

1. 1st place male & female overall - award & prize (prizing will go 3 deep if more than 10 people register in this race)

TEAM - Award & prize for top team overall in each distance and category.

KOS Race - First off a free race thanks to our KOS race sponsor, Catalyst Paper Corporation. Kids pack to all kids & ribbon to kids

TRAIL RUN/WALK - Awards to top three males and top three females overall. Also, each trail run/walk participant will be entered into the draw prizes.

XTC Vancouver

The following is the awards & prize breakdown for the XTC Vancouver Race. Please note, XTC Vancouver Half Distance Off-Road Triathlon is part of the Triathlon BC Junior Race Series (ages 16-19). You will receive series points at this race:

Full Distance Triathlon - Prize Purse for top 3 males & females - $800

1. 1st place male & female overall - $200
2. 2nd place male & female overall - $125
3. 3rd place male & female overall - $75
4. Age group - Award to top male & female in each age group. Prizing to top 3 male & female in each age group where there are five or more people in the age group for male and female.
